GACD Training School & Workshops

GACD holds Implementation Science Training School and Workshop each year adjacent to the Annual Scientific Meeting as part of its capacity-building mandate. In response to increasing demand for training in this area, these previously once-a year offerings have been ramped up to include an additional Workshops in locations around the world.

The Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD) is excited to announce another virtual delivery of the Implementation Science School (4th Implementation Science School) over seven days between 29 November and 10 December 2021. Live sessions will last up to four hours on each of the seven days. The training will be accessible entirely online, run in synchronous and asynchronous sessions to accommodate different time zones.

Application is closed now.

The two-week training school will be facilitated by some of the field’s most prominent global experts and aims to train early- and mid-career researchers who have an interest in non-communicable diseases about the field of implementation science.

Through expert-led lectures, small group sessions, facilitated group work, and panel discussions, participants will learn how to study and implement research findings into policy and practice, select and apply theories, models, and frameworks, and create a professional network for future collaborations.
